Substitution of plants that will thrive best in a given climate requires an extensive knowledge of plant species, particularly of their adaptability to certain weather conditions. In this residential landscape, a European garden is achieved in a Philippine setting with the use of Conocarpus shrubs as substitutes for Cypress trees.
